Systems Engineer – Agile Development Specialist
Location: Frederick, Baltimore, Fulton, Columbia, Annapolis Junction, Maryland (Telework options potentially available)
Security Clearance: TS//SCI with Polygraph or higher
Compensation Range: $150,000 – $260,000
What You’ll Do
As a Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in architecting and optimizing mission- critical software and infrastructure within agile development environments. Responsibilities vary by level and assignment, encompassing requirements elicitation and validation, orchestration of technical workflows, facilitation of continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), and leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams throughout iterative development cycles. Our engagements span both greenfield initiatives and complex integrations with legacy platforms. Regardless of project scope, each role is grounded in a core commitment to technical clarity, mission alignment, and purposeful execution. We are actively recruiting across all experience levels (SE0–SE3), with responsibilities tailored to individual competencies and professional maturity.
This role is well-suited for professionals who:
- Possess a systems-oriented mindset while maintaining a strong focus on user-centric outcomes
- Demonstrate proficiency in translating ambiguous business objectives into actionable, testable technical requirements
- Excel in cross-functional communication, effectively bridging developers, UX/UI designers, product managers, and stakeholders
- Have hands-on experience in SCRUM or other agile methodologies, contributing to iterative development and continuous improvement
- Are capable of leading or supporting engineering teams through multiple development cycles and release phases
